RSS Feed Readers

I finally got around to playing with some feed readers today and I must say I’m impressed. My experience with them in the past has never been good but the fact that my daily reading list has grown so big has forced me to start looking for a more efficient and streamlined way of getting through [...]

Technorati - What Have You Done For Me Lately?

In a word: Nothing.
But that’s going to change.
I’ve read over and over again on numerous sites how Technorati is the Google of blogs. Is this really the case? In my experience, not so much. So far I’ve seen about two hits from a Technorati search, compared to the bucketload of hits I’ve been getting from [...]

Darren Rowse Buys ProBlogger.com

After the Ebay auction for ProBlogger didn’t make reserve whoever owned it must have offered it to Darren, and it looks like they’ve come to an agreement because ProBlogger.com is now redirecting to ProBlogger.net.
And so they all lived happily ever after.

A lot of you may know these inside out, others may have heard them used but never [...]

I got my Spotplex invitation after all

After waiting a week and getting no reply I thought I’d missed my chance to get into the Spotplex beta, but my invitation arrived today, and I’ve had a chance to play with it a bit and I have a few observations.
For those of you who haven’t heard about it, Spotplex is a service that provides [...]

What Is The NoFollow Tag?

The rel=”nofollow” tag is a HTML attribute that is used to tell search engines to assign no value to the link it is attached to.
How well you rank in search engines results pages is determined by the number and quality of links pointing to your site, so when the nofollow tag is used it [...]

How to stop websites from autoplaying audio

A few days ago I wrote about how annoying it can be when sites play sounds and music in the background. I’d never given much thought to how to avoid it other than turning off my speakers, which wasn’t an option. But the internet being the way it is I thought someone would have [...]
