In the last month I’ve seen a few blogs stumble. Some have disappeared altogether, others are are still kicking about but are updated infrequently, which ultimately is just the same as if they had ceased to exist.
What did they do wrong? Why did they fail?

Don’t get me wrong, I think MyBlogLog is great. I’ve met some cool people on there and without their service this blog wouldn’t have hit the ground running the way it has. But there are some things that frustrate the hell out of me.

I should qualify that statement. Successful blogging is harder than you think.
And not as fun either.
I could probably write over 50 posts a day if I had to, but the content would be hollow and unimaginative, and no one would want to read it. On the other hand I might be able to write one well [...]
