The Jim Beam ad I posted the other day turned out to be really popular so I thought I’d share another one.

Here in Australia this ad has been playing quite a bit. It grabbed my attention very quickly the first time I saw it.
…And pretty much every time since.
For those of you who watched the new South Park episode the other day this may seem familiar.
After I wrote about the Commodore 64 the other day Coach Coco mentioned a piece of trivia I’d never heard. Apparently William Shatner was the spokesperson for Commodore in the 80’s.
Well Coach Coco has tracked down some footage on YouTube which is hilarious.
Watch as the Shat extols the virtues of the Commodore VIC-20, the wonder computer of the 1980’s.
Pantomime shares far too many similarities with interpretive dance for my liking, but if there’s anything that can make it look cool, or at the very least less sissy, it’s the steady hand of old school gaming.
Bonus points if you can name all the videogames in this. Some are quite recent.

I was expecting to see an antiquated speech about drugs that I could ridicule. What was delivered was so much better.
