Periodic Table Of The Internet
I thought this was pretty cool. Wellington Grey has created a periodic table of the Internet. It is broken up into various categories (search engines, web comics, social networking, etc), with each block containing the sites URL, symbol, and Alexa rank.
Maybe someone could do one for blogs?

Great idea to do it for blogs. I’ve had a go a rudimentary classification that folks might like to develop and build on.. please see

I’d add humor blogs to the list as well. It’s a massive niche.

It is great, but why it does not mention anything about Techcrunch or GigaOm or ValleyWag?
I thought TC is for Techcrunch, apparently it is for Technorati.
Also Wordpress is weirdly not listed under Blogs (XIII) category.

I love that thing. I agree that it needs some updating. Or maybe we could do like one for blogs, one for social networking…etc.
And then somehow link them together. Not for link building just for fun. I will think about some ideas in my “spare time” haha —>BTW Your Site Rocks!
