Wordpress Plugin: Blogroll Page
One of the methods I’ve previously suggested as a way to prevent your blog from leaking PageRank was to display blogroll links on a separate page. The purpose of this is to reduce the amount of site-wide outbound links on your blog.
Unfortunately doing this meant you had to abandon the built-in Wordpress blogroll functionality and input all your links again on the separate page. This can be rather time consuming if you have a large blogroll.
The good news is there is a new plugin called Blogroll Page which lets you publish your blogroll on an individual page or post with the links being populated from the built-in Wordpress blogroll. So now you can move your blogroll from the sidebar to a separate page with ease.
You can view a demo on this links page.

Thanks for the mention. Yes that is a very valid point you make about leaking page rank - and I will add it to the list of reasons to use the pluging.
Thanks again,
Dominic.

I have been looking for something like this, I have tried a lot of them and was not happy. I had to stick with manual editing till now. This looks promising and invites me to try.!

I’ve been looking for something like this for weeks!
I put all my links on a “link” page, and everytime I wanna edit it, I have to do it manually, so this plugin will definitely be useful! Thanx a lot Dan!

What Jonathan said…I’ve been working on doing this. The plugin will be perfect. Thanks for pointing this out, Dan. And thanks for putting it together, Dominic.

I like the concept of the plug-in, but I think I need to do some work to re-group the links. It does not shows the categories. Or I am missing something.
Anyone knows a plug-in that can generate the html sitemap to be used in a page?
Thanks!

It might be me, but I think putting your blogroll onto a single page is mad. Especially if the blogs you just moved there are reciprocating in kind with a standard site-wide blogroll.
Calling it a “blogroll page” is just a fancy coverup for what it really is, a link page. If I had a link in that blogroll and found that you moved me — I would dump your link on my blog in a heartbeat.
I think people are getting way to consumed over PageRank to the point that they end up doing un-natural things to their blogs, such as this approach. And PageRank really doesn’t give you that much advantage in SERPS, context does. And if the sidebar blogroll context is “apples” then you will rank higher for apples — you are what you link to.

Call it a blogroll or link page, but this is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for sharing.

Kewl! My blogroll continues to grow as does my blog. I just purged the roll of three or four names, but I have several more to add. This WP plug-in gives me a choice I thought I never had. Many thanks.

Very useful plugin. I don’t think I’ve seen this one anywhere else yet. Thanks.

I just wish it didn’t remove the category listings when it did this..
I’ve got it for now because my sidebar was looking cluttered, but if I can find something that does the same job yet retains the category orders I’ll be much happier.
*grin* Women eh..?!

“I just wish it didn’t remove the category listings when it did this..”
Same here. I went back to use the original blogroll side bar until I found the better solution. I could not remember where I saw that. I saw a blog which have all his posts grouped in well layout html site map page.
Anyone knowing anything about that?
Thanks!

I create my Links page from blogroll manually using phpexec support. This plugin seems to ease my ways. I will try it too. Thanks for your reviews!

I’ve been spending time building a “blogroll” page titled “Top Sites” and wondering about the cost-benefit of that. This looks like a good solution. I do think it’s a pity about the lack of categories: one of the advantages of hand-building a page is that you can insert the categories you want. Will give it a go and hope someone comes up with a version that uses cats too.

I have a wordpress installed. But it seems the blogroll doesn’t publish. Any ideas?
