A New Version Of Google Analytics Launches
Search Engine Land is reporting that Google is set to release a new version of their analytics package complete with a new user interface and features.
According to Brett Crosby, Senior Manager of Google Analytics this new platform will enable “non-experts” to use sophisticated web analytics without expert intervention.
As long as the depth of information is still there I’ll be happy.
Some of the new features include:
- Email reports and improved clarity of graphs allow users to explore and discover new insights.
- Customizable dashboards ensure the right data gets to the right people at the right time.
- Plain language descriptions of the data allow users to take action to improve their web site.
New users who sign up now will get immediate access to the new version. If you already have an account you will be switched over to the new version over the next few weeks, and you will have access to the old version for at least 30 days. All historical data will carry over as well.
The picture below is what the new interface should look like. Very pretty.

Thanks for the heads up Dan. I just checked my account and sure enough it says that “Over the next several weeks, we will be migrating all existing Analytics accounts to the new Google Analytics interface.” Can’t wait!
I’ve been favouring pMetrics recently just because its a simpler/quicker interface than Google Analytics.

[…] am sure the majority of bloggers every where have been using Google analytics and this new redesign gives more reasons to use it. I been using Reinvigorate too for the past one month it has a much better user interface […]

This looks nice, I can’t wait. Their endless options gets me lost somedays on how it is now.
