Spyware - You May Want To Rethink Using Sitemeter
If any of you are using Sitemeter for stats reporting you might want to have a read of this article. It looks like Sitemeter is now pushing specificclick tracking and advertising cookies on to visitors of sites using their service.
I can’t stand spyware or this sort of selfish business practice so I’ve moved all of my sites over to StatCounter and I won’t be using Sitemeter again.

Was using Sitemeter for all this years, and was hoping they would reconsider of doing so, if it is really true on what the article mentioned.
Spam, never liked.

You’ll like statcounter, I’ve been using ‘em for years and as far as free services go it’s a doozy!

I’ve been impressed with them so far Vics. They are a nice simple alternative to Google Analytics.

Just discovering your blog…
I’ve been using Statcounter for a while now, and despite its awesome features, I found it never really get good stats for my blog (underestimates, overestimates the number of hits..). I’m running some test with another counter to check that.
Other than that, Statcounter is a better alternative to a site which uses spyware for sure !

Hmm I hate when they start tracking people. I do like google analytics but i don’t like the idea of them knowing all of my data.
I am going to take a look at statcounter. Thanks for the advice.
