Technorati May Not Be A Dead End After All
DoshDosh has done a little experiment which involved using Technorati’s Where’s The Fire (WTF) blurbs to try to generate traffic. After the discussion that was had in this post the results may not be what you expect.
Is Technorati WTF a social website you should use to promote your blog and content? My answer to this is a simple yes. Technorati WTF is a social tool you should explore if you’re interested in getting more exposure to your blog.
After three days with his blurb on the front page he received 425 visitors. It definetly sounds like WTF is an avenue worth exploring.

I often wonder if it is traffic at all cost. Notice the trend even with a few of the top blogs where topic and content of posts are borderline or plain off limits. I am not all taking the high road but it’s really not something I support.

No probs Maki. It was a an interesting analysis.
Adrian I agree, there is a line which shouldn’t be crossed. But if you want people to read your blog you have to make an effort to drive some traffic to it. You can definetly do it without using any shady tactics but there alot of people out there who will use any method they can get their hands on, borderline or not.
