Wordpress Theme: Foxy 281 v0.1
Foxy 281 is a modified version of the 281 Wordpress theme created by Paul Stamatiou and Neil Patel.
This theme uses no images or JavaScript, so it loads fast, and has a nice minimalistic design. It has also been optimized for search engines.
I’ve fixed a few problems 281 had with Internet Explorer and added a few subtle visual tweaks.
The comments link tended to be overlooked by a lot of people so I’ve moved it to a much more visible position at the bottom of posts.
I’ve also added 4 extra colours to the theme that can easily be switched to by opening the header.php file and changing the variable color_scheme to either “red”, “blue”, “green”, “pink”, or “orange”.
There is also a 3 column version on the way.

You said it’s been optimized for search engines, would you care to let me in on tips to optimize a WP theme for search engines? or maybe a resource to find out more about that. I’m currently building a theme from scratch and I could use some pointers regarding that.

Hi guys, if you’d like any input with respect to markup of the theme, I’d be more than happy to offer some input for an SEO standpoint. It sounds like the SEO needs have been covered.

Jamie I’m working on a the 3 column version at the moment so I’ll look into it. Shouldn’t be too hard to do.

Sorry, I was close to releasing the 3 column version but a few things came up. Seeing as widgets are part of the Wordpress core I think I’ll make it a priority to add widget compatibility to both.

I like it. Besides loading fast, the design is very clean.
